Set any W880 themes to T650. I think they are the same. |

But do they respond to the time/day and use the light effects that the default T650i ones do? |

Not unless you are a flash programmer.....
W880 doesn't support light effects, so they're not written into its themes.....

@ Aware
Do you think they (SE) will bring out more then?
Seems a shame to only have four themes (?) on the phone that take advantage of this |

Hmmm........hard to say......
.....on the pessimistic side, every SE released which supports flash has only ever had the default flash themes on the phones......and they save any new ones for the next model......
But, there are people who have converted flash themes AND desktop flash from one model/resolution to another!
So, it's quite possible one(or more) of them may alter existing themes to include light effects, now that the phones support them!

Talking of the themes, what triggers the colours at the back to work?

if someone can upload the default t650 themes and some t650 themes which dont use this i could try and compare the .xml files and stuff :S

The flash standby .swf file in the theme is programmed to read the time/date, and react accordingly.......just like the walkman phones' standbys are programmed to read a playing music track's ID3 tags, and display them.......
As I said, if you can program flash(NOT as straightforward as it sounds, look on the net and you'll see what I mean), then theoretically, you could make the themes do even more......
