Do you love your job? |

Do you come home at the end of a long days work and think 'What the hell am I doing? , 'What was all that about?'
Or do you absolutely love going to work and at the end of the day really feel like you've made a difference?
What would be your ideal job? What would you rather be doing and why?

I love my Job, which involves helping others find work and helping people who want to claim benefits throughout the UK, a lot of job satisfaction involved and it feels good to know you've helped someone find work. You do feel tired after work but we can't have everything
and best thing is i can browse Esato throughout the day

but if im being totally honest i think i'd slightly prefer to work in the adult entertainment industry

I should enjoy my work and get a lot of satisfaction out of it, but I sadly don't! And I'm a psychiatric nurse!
I've been having some doubts about whether I've chosen the right career, if I have the right personality for this job (I'm quite introverted) and not sure if I'm 'people-orientated' enough for this career.
I've got to work out though whether it's this job I don't like or if it's my attitude to work in general that needs changing!

Apparently its not all its cracked up to be, a mate of mine tried it.
@Sammy
I know what you mean. I walked into engineering when I left school but if I had given bit a bit more thought I probably would have done something completely different. I'm asking myself now if my current job is the one I wanna spend the rest of my life doing.

Will do.
I done Engineering at Uni which I hated. I now work for Microsoft but feel another career change coming on. Not sure what though, always fancied working for myself but would love to work outdoors.

See, I bet your job is rewarding sorting out peoples problems for them. You do that full-time?

I've been asking myself the same question, not sure whether this is the career I want to do for the next 36 years before retirement, but I'm not sure what I'd want to do instead. Problem is I now have a mortgage, so can't afford any drop in wages to start another career or train unless it's paying what I'm earning now.
I drifted into admin/typing jobs after school not knowing what I wanted to do (don't think I still know!) I think I went into nursing when a mate went into it and I thought 'I think I'd like to do that', and perhaps didn't think deeply or enough about it. I thought it would 'bring me out of my shell', which it has a bit but perhaps not enough to do this job properly.
I do wonder about going into something more technical, taken my liking for phones and fixing them but would I get bored doing it as a career rather than a hobby?

i work mon-fri, 8:00-13:00. then i go to the university and i get home around 20:00 or 21:00. if it's rewarding??? it is if you consider RD$8000.00(US$250.00) a month, then yes.

Well first of all I think your job should be something you enjoy doing.
I have often thought that if you can turn something you like doing or your hobby, into a business then that would be the ideal career because you wouldn't mind spending the extra time developing it.
It doesn't have to be either one job or the other because plenty of people have multiple income streams as well as their main job and eventually end up concentrating on the most successful one. Have you never envisioned opening your own repair shop?
I know of three mobile phone repair shops where I am, and not one of them knows what flashing a phone means. I think they repair broken covers, sell batteries and accessories and maybe a selection of used handsets. I know more than them just from reading Esato and I have no doubt you know more than me.
Wasn't it you that created the great T68i - M600i experiment thread?

@goldenface - you're right, I should be enjoying my job more than I do, which does worry me!
Don't know about opening my own repair shop, not sure if there's the demand, as many people either have insurance or use their phone breaking as an excuse to go out and buy another. Also not sure if it would earn me enough money either. Nice idea though, I think I'd like to do something like that!
And yes, it was me that did that experiment thread, think it's about time I started another one!
