Phil,

There's Carphone Warehouse on the Fort Shopping Park that'll do software upgrades. There is another one on Brum somewhere but I don't know where that is.
You have to take your phone purchase receipt with you to get the upgrade done. If the upgrade machine is working (!) it takes about 8 hours, as your upgrade goes in a job queue and is not normally done straight away.

You can get it done at the Carphone Warehouse for free, no need for any receipt, box or anything.
At least that was the case when I went about 5 months ago....

The fone is still less than a year old so u dont need any proof of purchase as it will still be under the warrenty! Thats wot the bloke at my service centre told me anyway!

Chaps,

I didn't make it up about CPW requiring a receipt. I KNOW it's true because I took my own T68i into the CPW branch I mentioned and I was asked to bring a valid receipt/proof of purchase with me.

Remember this is not an SE service centre, but a Carphone Warehouse one.

Apparently they have concerns about stolen phones being upgraded or something.

BTW it's only under warranty if you have a valid receipt/warranty document.

The latest software in Sweden is R5D007 for the T68i. You have an old software version. There are a few changes since the one you have.
