Hi all, in a bit of a problem here
well not really a problem just want to decide on something
3 months ago i bought my Nokia n95 on my first contract. Well at first I loved it. Now I'm not sure.
I'm buying the new ipod when its released and have bought an ipod shuffle for the time being. Now I don't use my N95 as much becuase i have the ipod shuffle, the only main feature i seem to use is the Camera. The thing that bugs me is that its quite a thick phone and that the battery life is quite poor. Having seen the Samsung G600 im quite tempted to sell my Nokia N95 to my friend for £220, and buy it as it looks to be a quite a thin phone and with a 5 megapixel camera as well.
However i am mightily unsure lol, as it seems a shame as i was so excited when i went to buy the N95 lol, and now I'm not as exicted
What do you guy reckon.
Thanks
Jack

samsung will never offer u the great os like n95, thats my thought. the cam is just a bonus imo, what really counts, is the great support in the first line and the great features of n95

I can see your point very well;
samsung devices are very fashionable, slim and on paper technologically advanced phones. Under the hood I can say is samsung is nowhere near the quality of Nokia or SE. UI capabilites, OS pecularities, hardware capabilites are always been a downside of Samsung phones. So advice: if you are not actively using your n95 features and you discovered that you are not that tech savy as you though to be and want a slimmer phone go to samsung other than that stick to your nokia

I know exactly how you feel. Bought a nokia N95 a month ago, and not that impressed with it now. Like you, im only using it for the camera and feel the SE K850 or the G600 would be a better option.

If your not embracing all the features, its best to get a phone that has just what you need. Thats why im likely to get the SE K850 - has 5 megapixel cam, and mp3 which i would use too.

So likewise with you, the G600 would be great if your into their UI (which im certainly not!), nice and slim as stated and will have a great cam too. Id go for the G600 if i was you.

Same here, got an N95 at it is no where near as good as the K810i in my opinion. Sure it has wifi and 5meg camera, but it is thick, clumbsy, build quality is terrible, and the screen is impossible to keep clean. I use two phones all the time one being the K810i and the other the N95, call quality on the K810i is way better then on the N95, both are on orange and calls drop on the N95 but not on the K810i. Now I am looking to sell the N95, and go back to using the W810i I have.

what's that got to do with the price of fish? if it's above 3 MP, forget about the resolution. the only thing that you should be concerned about if you're wanting a good camera is the QUALITY.
don't fall for the numbers game!

SE and nokia are forever falling to bits. when it comes to reliability, i would MUCH rather go with samsung than either SE or nokia (neither of whom have a good track record).
also, samsung's software tends to be less buggy and more stable than those crash-happy SE phones.

i would be more inclined to go for the samsung. more of what i want, less of what i don't want.

he is more interested in the Cam.
And the G600's cam and video were much better than the N95.

i didn't know you'd tested a g600 because they haven't been released yet, and aren't available yet except for reviewing.

I had units already (sold two) (I have two more but the going price is 420).

If you're familiar with esato you'll know I review alot of mobiles, and many before they're released.

Mobile phones are also released in Qatar and Emirates before countries by months in advance (they test the products on those countries it seems). So I always either send them over, or buy them when I'm over.
