I need to have it!
8gb and the new interface would be great!
However, I don't like the black.
And the screen must be bigger or the device is a bit smaller.

Not bad. I need to see more pictures of the back and this new N-GAGE platform to see if it's a worthy replacement of my buggy P990. Come on Amnesia, black is SEXY! |

I came... I saw... I played.. don't think I'll both with an N95 derivative.
Actually my N95 is nothing more than a HSDPA modem for me now, unfortunately, and you'll see it for sale sometime soon
In principal this 8gb version sounds fine but with 4gb in mine already and another 4gb card in my wallet there doesn't really seem much advantage, and I don't like the black either

For me it'll all depend on some crucial factors.
Is the phone smaller or the screen bigger? (both are pluses for me)
and
Will it have more RAM.
If it has the same amount of ram, then I'll just get the battery once it's released and flash my phone to have the 8gb apps.

supposedly the back has been changed to fit the battery... you won't be able to put it in your old n95 |

@amnesia, sounds like a plan
N95 was always an interim for me while I wait for something with WM6 which now seems to be the Kaiser (TyTN II)
my son will prob want this new model though

I want to know if this version really has a VGA screen, the size of the screen certainly looks larger in those pictures than a standard N95 screen.
I wonder if it still has a memory card slot? |

screen looks the same to me, but the gap between the screen and nav keypad looks bigger, and the nav keypad looks smaller & squashed...

Hi all,
Well i thought everyone knew Black makes you look slimmer or in this case maybe longer. Personally unless it actually has the rumoured extra 64mb of Ram i am not very interested in it and the removal of the lens cover i think is a big mistake IMHO.
Also it is going to be slightly fatter to accommodate the bigger battery and if i am totally honest as i consider the N95 a Multimedia smart phone not a business smart phone i never had any RAM issues when i had mine. Lastly this is not destined for the European or even Asian markets as it will be optimised for the bands that are used in the America's.
As we are fast approaching 2008 i really do think it is about time all manufacturers stop this ridiculous lack of all bands being in their devices we live in a Global market where especially business people travel the world just cover all the bands so that we can use our phones in any part of the world it really isn't that difficult.
Whilst I'm in moaning mode it's also time that all our devices come with world wide guarantees and manufacturers put an end to this your devices warranty is only valid in country of origin or the market it was designated for as that just sucks big time in MO and can see absolutely no logical reason for it.
The money from where ever it is sold works it way back to the manufacturer and warranty repairs are billed by the Service Centre to the manufacturer so what's the problem as i can't see one other than trying to stop us sourcing devices as soon as they come out and again IMO this is just wrong and yes i am criticising Nokia and all the others that follow this practice as far as i am concerned it's just wrong and should stop as it's not fair on us the consumers.
Marc
