Pricing policy for video calls |

I'm on a contract with my operator where normal voice calls are very inexpensive. I pay a very small fee to start the call, and then I can talk as long as I like, as long as the one I'm calling is on the same network. I hardly ever use video calls, but when my wife also got a 3G enabled phone (K610) I just hat to test, and the test call was for about 30 seconds. At the end of the month, when the phone bill arrived, I noticed that that tiny video call did cost as much as 10 normal voice calls. 30 seconds of video call costs the same as 10 infinite voice calls... What a perfect way to kill a grand technique with greedy pricing of the service. Shame on the operators! ;-( |

i noticed the same thing. video calls do require a stable and large chunk of the bandwidth but i still feel its overpriced...
