HELP! Themes are not gettin in da list. |

I hv posted 2 themes for w200 (128x160) n 2-dozen of w800 (176x220)... but only 8-10 themes of W800 are in da list.... n there's no my 128x160 theme in da list... why???? my name is yahyanaveed@gmail.com there.. whenever I tried 2 re-submit da theme, it says that da theme is already found in da database, but it is not visible in da main list..... PLZ HELP........ |

Yeah.... I know that it takes few dayz 2 add themes, But even later submitted themes are in da list......... My unadded themes were good..........

I think i added mine about a week ago and a new theme has been added by someone else since then.
Im not angry at all but a PM saying that this theme is not going to be added would have been nice

I too have uploaded themes that haven't been included in the gallery. Maybe Esato admin filter out themes that don't meet a certain quality standard? I dunno. If that's the case, it's no bad thing. Some other sites accept any old crap and their galleries are full of really poor offerings, some not much better than girlie wallpapers. |

Weeks ago i submmitted some good quality themes and they were not added to the list and other ones (not by me) have.....
I also emailed laffen w little while back to see what happened and you know what i got no reply yet.....
I thought it was just me, im glad this thread has been created

Maybe it's just pot luck. I must admit, I've seen some very ordinary themes on Esato. I'm not the most gifted themer but my themes are generally better than some that appear in the gallery.
So far, I've only managed to get one theme into the gallery (Egypt) http://www.esato.com/logos/colour/k800themes.php?p=206 .
Most of my themes are of a similar standard.

Themes may be rejected of several reasons. Without being related to the themes mentioned in this thread, I can list a few.
In order of reason to reject the theme:
- Copyright issues: Movie characters, cartoons, Football club themes etc.
- Size of the theme: 1 MB themes with only two images in it will not be accepted. In general: it is more likely that smaller themes will be made public.
- Lack of, or lousy images in the menu elements.
- Too many of the motive already: A famous Indian actress must have been uploaded 30-40 times.
- Graphic too lousy
- Not of general interest. E.g a theme with pictures of my dog, sister, father, old car.
- Porn
I try to validate the themes 3-4 days a week. It sometime happens that I miss a theme or two. If so, please send me PM with info about the date you uploaded the theme, and I will take a closer look at it.
The theme section is not connected with the Esato forum. Everyone can upload. So it is not possible to send a PM to the uploader of a rejected theme

Ah, right. That's cleared that up then. Now we know what to avoid.
Some of my themes were Everton F.C. However, I have never heard of any football clubs enforcing copyright over their images, club crests, etc. If anything, they're usually grateful for the exposure!
But it's your site and you set the rules. That's ok by me. I posted my football themes on an alternative site, where they have been quite popular (with Evertonians!)

EDIT I see themes using the walkman and se logo also other themes that could be subjet to copyright..........
I also see thems that are noteven made by the uploaders and i can proove it.
