k800 mp4 encoding |

I've downloaded a number of mp4 files originally intended for ipod to my phone. Some play fine, but the phone plays only the audio of some other files. Is there any program that will allow me to re-encode these files in a format the phone will recognise? (I'd rather not have to download or rip everything again). Also, when re-encoding is there any technique that would allow me to avoid the audio & video playing at different speeds? |

yes.
i's because K800 only support Mp4 video with Mp4 codecs on it.
nowadays MP4 video can come with different video codecs...,
for example MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, H263, H264, DivX, Xvid and much more.
prsonally i found my K800 works well with MP4 vid codec.
although i havnt try the rest, i suggest you to use program called super to re encode the video codec so it may be playable in your K800.
cheers

K800 video plays mp4 containers with H263, MP4 and Xvid codecs at 320x240 resolution, or H264 at 220x176 resolution

thans so much! have managed to encode these files to play on k800 successfully.
May I ask which codecs / audio options / framerate / bitrate you would recommend using for optimal performance but also to avoid issues such as audio/video playing at different rates? |

Isnt that 176*144 for h.264?
