Hi all,
I've got a load of midi files I've put up onto a wap site, however they can't be downloaded as polyphonic tones because they're all huge (20-50kb). Does anyone have/know of an application that can either shorten the file size ie make the tune short, link the first 10seconds or another way I can make them smaller easily. I've got 700+ so as automated as possible would be good!
Cheers,

no real automated way of doing it that I know of. but what you can do is cut the part of the midi file you want into a small section and just use the part of the song you want as the tone. takes a little time and a little patience .... I prefer to use a program called winjammer, because it let's me edit each instrument so i can get exactly the peice of the midi I want. Anyway you can find it at sonic spot the URL is http://www.sonicspot.com/winjammer/winjammer.html.
Hope this helps |

Thanx for the advice on winjammer, but isn't there an easier way. Winjammer looks quite complicated. Am I just being ignorant?
