well idk im getitng kind of worried about my n95...as some of you know i had a recent mess-up where i bent the slide rail too far and well mucked it up...but i think i fixed it but now im kinda worrying

as you can see int he pic the rail is visible at that certain angle and i dont know if its right or because of what i've done...so can people with n95s tell me if its the same on theirs...and if not will it do any long term damage to the phone

i know im silly and probably worrying over nothing..but its my prized possession lol

anyway heres the pic:

Looks more cosmetic to me - does the slide still work OK, no 'grinding' type noises?

If the slider's still working fine, I wouldn't worry too much, at worst it'll just look cosmetically a bit off, that's all.

doesnt grind particularly and isnt scratching on the silver cover...it does make a noise when sliding but feels more of a soft cushioned noise rather than a scraping...just want to know if its the same on other ppls...i know the right side does "stick out more and the rail is slightly visible on most but not sur eif it is this visible

Hi A3LX,

No my soon to be sold N95 doesn't look like that at all, if it is not right i would advise a trip to your local Nokia Service Centre at least for them to take a look at and advise what action is needed if any. Quick tip join Club Nokia if you haven't already as this will get you better servcie from them IMO and will aslo give you access to various other free Nokia servcies and like most thing with Nokia is of course free to join.

Marc

in my opinion, it's the OUTER shell which is a bit morphed or bent open. It is just cosmetic IMO.

HOWEVER, since it shows, dust might get trapped in there.

here is another angle and its not as visible...u gotta look from a certain angle to see the rail and mine stands out as i scraped hte black paint from it :s

i think amnesia is right as i do switch covers often and that is the side i tend to stretch when taking it off

amost every n95 i saw has that but, i mean, when u pull that plastic to the outside next to the rain at the keypad. really cheap construction... but imo we have to live with that bug.

hi; I've just bought my n95 yesterday.. what I can say is mine doesn't have a gap like yours nor a "small grinding".. I'm not saying these just to irritate you.. I think yours are fine too but it is not lets say factory default
