How to turn off msg autosave 2 SIM for contact? |

I have searched everywhere and not found an answer. I have a contact on my K810i for whom all incoming txt messages are autosaved to SIM and I want to stop it.
My default contacts are set to the phone, autosave to SIM is turned off, but still I receive the msg from this one person (contact only on phone memory) in my in box and as soon as I read it - it goes straight to SIM. This is the only contact it seems to apply to.
Alternatively - is it possible to transfer text messages stored on SIM back to the phone memory? I have been using My Phone Explorer to copy to computer archive, but this is a bit of a hassle as my laptop doesn't like my phone much. I tried seeing if I could use My Phone Explorer to access the settings on my SIM but it doesn't even detect it.
I only have room on SIM for 20 messages and so keep having to delete messages that are parts of conversations I don't want to lose.
This might be residual from when I had the SIM in my now defunct Nokia.
But hopefully someone can help.

have you tried deleting the contact and creating it again? or by some time estay with the contact deleted to see if it solves the problem. As the last solution I can think of is to create another contact but assing the same tumber to that one, so you have two different contacts with the same number. Otherwise I can't think of anything esle because it seems very strange.

this is happening to me on my k850i.
i am travelling and bought a new sim yesterday (wind, italy). since then incoming messages from some (but not all) contacts have started being saved to my sim. they do not appear in the inbox and only appear in saved items. the contacts affected are all in italy, messages from elsewhere appear in the inbox. the contacts have not messaged me previously, but were not added after i got the sim - the contacts are stored on the phone.
what can i do to fix this?

ps i am running R1EA037, installed over a month ago from davinci after a bsod. |

Look at the advanced option inside your phonebook, there is one there to turn off autosaveto sim...
