Might not be an ideal solution, but have you thought about using Blackberry Connect (with your Yahoo account)?

Okay, since when does yahoo mail get downloaded (except for atachments/pics, etc.)???

If you go to yahoo with your phone, you SEE all the messages and can read them AT YAHOO [addsig]

I am still having the same problem. I have the latest World Generic 1 firmware and have triple checked that I have the correct settings. When I send and recieve it connects ok and says there are 738 emails but doesnt actually download any headings or messages.

@JC

not sure if this helps figure out what's wrong, but have you tried connecting using your data carrier, then Wifi? If all settings are correct, perhaps its a connection issue?
There is no reason why yahoo shouldn't work, i use it all the time, sorry couldn't be more help.

@mage

You are wrong, JC is trying to access his yahoo account through pop email on his phone, not on his browser, so his email is downloaded to his phone.. Brain in gear mage before posting, then perhaps you'll have something useful to offer

Strange because it worke fine on mine. Doesn't the P9 have a kb limit you can set for downloading each message?

I seem to remember and option in the mail settings where you can set how many kb you can limit each message to.

I'm wondering if something somewhere is taking ages to scan through those 738 mails before the headers start getting downloaded. Or is it an error, you haven't really got 738 mails in your yahoo inbox?

Or, it could be that one of them is a 'duff message'. This sometimes happens with pop email whereby a message gets 'stuck' and you have to delete it via the web-based email (Virgin media please take note!)

i would agree with cyco on this one, it will take a long time to download header for 738 emails, maybe you just need to leave it longer to get the headers? Perhaps you could try it with a yahoo account with less emails in it?

I have told it only to get the last 10 emails and only headers. Still nothing.

hmm.. not good.. what options are left? Master reset and manually reinstall all settings? Sorry can't think of any better suggestions.
