personal post count getting lower by day |

uh, hello, sorry if this question is ever asked, but I'm just wondering why my post count (and 2 other members that I keeping track of) are going down by the day. my post count was 38 and now it went down to 36. the other guys are at 130 and now went down to 122.
is there something that I did wrong? I posted at a regional forum and occasionally find a thread that I can help with at random. is there any new rules about post count? not that I want a high post count, but if I ended up being a newbie again with 1 post, that is no help in my credibility in answering in the threads..... 
thanks and I'm really hoping to get an answer to this weird "phenomena"

haha! Actually I think it's when you post in garbage threads you get docked a post in your total post count. I think they do this to encourage people to post in the main categories.
Personally I think they should continue to count your main posts, but just not count the garbage posts.
I've posted to many a garbage thread in my day, so my post count would be a fair bit lower than it actually is! Don't worry, eventually you'll get a healthy lead and won't have to be worried about being seen as a newbie 
(once you get over 500 most people will consider you a veteran.)

You didn't do anything wrong  , but posts in the regional forums, garbage etc. don't count, so they get subtracted at the end of the day.

ah, that makes sense then, so they aren't taken off main thread post count - it just looks that way until the end of the day

when u post in garbage and regional forums, your post count decreases. its totally ridiculous IMO and if they want to discourage posting there, they should just remove those forums altogether
