Hello Everyone,

This thread will primarily be about any shortcuts, tips, and tricks that everyones found. Of course there are the obvious ones like how to go silent in one buttone press and so forth but I hope everyone can contribute any shortcuts that they've found.

Basic Obvious Shortcuts (Don't flame ok)
Voice Mail ~ Hold the Letter "E" on the main screen (the left side of #1)
Key Lock~ Hold the Left side of the "*" button
Silent Mode~ Hold the Right side of the "#" button

Shortcuts I Hope to find

Unlock ~ On the P900 you could pull back on the jog dial and press in, but since the P1i doesn't allow you to pull back I end up having to click "*" then tapping "unlock" on the screen. Anyone know of a easier way?

Well I'm at work and my brain is friend from playing with it till 5AM in the morning so I'll think of more later.

Peace out

Thank you Jamin ur a lifesaver!

By the way, when he says back button, he means the one below the jog dial not the "delete" button.

Am waiting for my P1i on this Monday, but a question first - can you define a specific key, with which you can pick-up a call? I cannot find this feature in P990 and am curious if this can be definied in P1i...
Best regards,
PH

question:

how do you go to the main menu and read your messages, contacts, notes, etc... while you are still on a voice or video call?

my P1i shortcut/trick to share...
here's a quicker way to use the UI on the camera mode. press "0" to access the camera settings menu. press...
1 for frame size
2 for shoot mode
3 for zooming out
4 for auto focus
6 for zooming in
7 for night mode
* for light
# for display

you'll have to use the touchscreen to access the other functions.

Not strictly a shortcut, I know, but how do you check the firmware version without SM?
I haven't seen any proof of tomorrow all day!

SM? Don't think there's a shortcut for it, you have to use the Status menu.

Pressing the backspace key on the keyboard works as a delete button for most apps except the file manager...

Is there a way to assign the internet shortcut button on the right of the phone to a third party app like swiss man?
I have only been able to choose between the phone's task manager, internet browser, media player, message app, ...
A custom shortcut would be nice.

Another thing: when you write an MMS, you can access a little drawing application to scribble away. Can you access this app from the phone menu? Can you save your master pieces?

Hello,

I can confirm that the 0 (aka spacebar) works as Play and pause, but the # and * don't seem to work as next/prev track. Does anyone know if we can program keys as next/prev, or if there are any preset keys with these functions?
