k610i not showing sms in home screen and sms sending failed problem ( |

i just noticed that my k610i doesn't show the sms in the home screen whenever i get an sms, even if its just one.
i used to have a k700i but it shows the sms in the home screen.
i still have to go to the inbox to access the new sms.
am i missing a setting here? or is it like this already.
also if an sms sending fails it goes to the outbox and does not try to send it again. sometimes it doesn't ask you to try to send it again. so there are time that i am not aware that an sms was not sent.
HELP
my SW is R1JG001

In the settings menu, can't you choose whether you want New Events to pop up or appear in the shortcut menu?
Also, regarding the sms not being resent, you could check the Validity Period in the SMS settings menu. It should be set to maximum.
