Hey guys,

Trying to connect my T68 to my WinXP SP1 PC using Microsoft Bluetooth Desktop.

This is how far I have gotten:

Installed XTNDConnect for Ericsson.

Paired the phone with the PC;
Control Panel -> Wireless Link -> Bluetooth -> Add
Success and Autenticated.
Click on the T68 -> Properties -> Services
Only service showing is Dial-Up Networking.

Control Panel -> System -> Hardware
Standard Modom over Bluetooth link using Com 3.
Do not find any other Bluetooth Com ports.

Control Panel -> Phone Monitor Options
No phone showing under tab Mobile Phones.
Only have COM1, COM2 and COM3 under tab COM Ports.
COM1 and COM2 = Disabled, No
COM3 = Enable, Yes

XTNDConnect can not find the T68.

I'm realizing that something is missing. Why am I not getting more Services or Com ports? Please help!

Try downloading the latest version. The early versions supplied with most devices was useless.

I have downloaded the latest version of XTNDConnect and the Microsoft website tells me there is no downloadable version of IntelliType Pro for Bluetooth. (http://microsoft.com/hardware/keyboard/download.asp)

I called Microsoft support and I was amazed that I actually got through but of course they were clueless.

You have enough COM ports and services showing for a connection to be attainable. Have you tried running something that uses the phone connection other than the synch software - for example, Phone Settings? It may keep the connection open a bit longer.

Also, ensure that your phone is set to Bluetooth "On" and not "Auto"

The problem is that the MS Bluetooth adapter does not support serial connections. At present time there is no work around for syncing...

After months of dispair I have finally got this working. I had to use two Bluetooth adapters which kind of defeats the purpose, but it does work. I had a USB Bluetooth adapter before purchasing my MS Bluetooth Optical Desktop, but found that the MS adapter did not support my t68, and my older EPoX USB adapter did not support my MS beyboard and mouse. After a lot of trial and error, I decided to see what would happen if I used both Bluetooth adapters at the same time, and it works.

I had to firstly install my cheapie EPoX BT-DG02 and get it working with my t68 - that too a bit of work since everytime I inserted it, the MS drivers took control. I eventually reinstalled the EPoX BT drivers, and was then able to pair the phone and sync using XTNDConnect PC. I then inserted my MS BT transciever, removed the mouse and keyboard from the Wireless hardware in the control panel, and re-installed them manually.

Now, exerything works fine - I do have to have both BT adapters in my PC which is a drag, but until MS drivers are enhanced to support this functionality (if ever), I can use all of my BT devices on a single system.

EPoX USB adapter:
