So far, I’ve used my T68i to…
Choose a movie. One time, my wife and I were supposed to go bowling with another couple. But upon arriving at the bowling ally we discovered there were no lanes available until 10 pm. So I just whipped out my trusty T68i and browsed to the entertainment/movie section, typed in my zip code, chose a nearby theater, and within a minute I was reading the show times of possible movie choices. The funny thing was that while I was doing that, my wife used her Nokia 8390 to call directory assistance and asked to be connected to the theater phone number. Then she had to listen to advertisements and finally a slow machine read out the times. Afterward, we all agreed the web browser was more efficient than traditional calling, and we were all impressed (myself especially) that the phone provided such great utility.
Find the nearest restaurant. I was recently in Redwood City for a wedding and was staying at a hotel. Not satisfied with the list of nearby restaurants provided in the hotel directory, I was curious about what kind of cuisine-related info I could coax out of my beloved T68i. Browsing to Go2/Dining, I used the ‘auto-locate’ option to automatically find any nearby restaurants. I was amazed to see a long list of possible eateries, including many of the ones listed in the directory. And, the list was sorted by distance from our location. So there were like five restaurants within a 0.2-mile radius!
The Sony-Ericsson T68i… Is there anything it can’t do?

My T68i is my link to the internet world
Without it, I would have no way to speak out from this iron curtain country...
But it's really cool to chat with my friends online via WAP88's ICQ or through my IPAQ or Laptop via my phones GPRS + Bluetooth. |

Same here! Can’t cease to amaze me.
Small, lightweight, feature packed, huge memory, seamless connectivity...very impressive! Definitely the benchmark.

I can't comment on that - but I agree with the T68i's ease of use and good color screen for WAP.
Used it in Amsterdam to look for some nightclubs when we were out there a couple of months back for a Stag weekend - made sure we didn't get into a gay or fetish clubs.
It is WAP that is useful - but the GPRS, colour screen and very small size of the phone makes a big difference to user satisfaction. If the phone was any bigger like an old Nokia 7110 I used to have, it would have stayed at home rather than go clubbing with me.

That`s a good point about small phones, a big phone is fine to use while it`s still a new novelty, but when getting on with normal life a anything bigger than a t68 could be a bit annoying, when next in Amsterdam please pop into a gay/fetish bar i promise to buy you a drink,(this post is not for GENERAL viewing is it !) |
