Another phone sold on Esato blocked. |

About 3 months ago I traded a E61 with Voda_jon for a LG Shine http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=144474#post1940811 which was then sold to WelshTom a month later.
Late last week I got a PM from Tom saying that he sold it to ZootZoot and that, 2 weeks later it had been blocked.
ZootZoot has since filed a dispute with Paypal to get a refund.
Now according to Voda_jon the phone was traded with him by danlfc and it was a sim free model that was bought new by him.
Obviously Tom is not happy with the situation and wants a refund from me, I therefore want the money from Jon who is refusing point blank to have anything to do with the problem.
I have suggested to Tom that we move the phone on and any shortage would be made up by the 4 parties involved, to which he is agreeable but again Jon will not chip in to sort this problem out.
Having had this done to myself by Topscooby not so long ago I know exactly how Tom feels about this and I am trying to sort it so that no one person makes a big loss here (even the person who reported the phone stolen) but at the moment its like banging my head against a brick wall where Voda_jon is concerned.
Any suggestions?

It appears DanLFC08 / SiEgdell is still making his mark here on Esato!
This is hard because somewhere along the line somebody has to lose out!
Especially seeing as the villain has gone to ground! (I have contact details for said villain)
The fairest way as I see it would be for all those unfortunately involved to share the loss as it isn't anybody's fault imparticular other than Danlfc08's!
Just my 2p!

It seems when things go wrong some people think they can dive out of it. For example I traded a phone with voda_jon for a W900 with bits and bobs including two 1GB MSPD. When it turned up there was only one, to this day I haven't received another card or an explanation as to why... That was over a year ago btw

Wow that really helps.
Why are you even in the market section if you that's the way you think?

Ok, here's how it stands at the moment.
Voda_Jon has now agreed to chip in on any loss made on the phone, which to be honest shouldn't be that much as long as it is returned from ZootZoot in the same condition as Tom sent it. The phone was virtually mint when sent to Tom and I know he didn't use it as he thought it was the 3G version so there is no reason for it not to be.
When the phone is received back Tom or myself will make arrangements to move it on and then the 3 of us will make up any difference between the price received and what Tom sold it to ZootZoot for.
So for the moment we will leave this thread open until its sorted but thanks for your comments.
Nanu .. could you PM me SiEgdell's details please.

Once blocked it can only be unblocked by the person who originally had it done.

why don't you all chip i to buy a equal replacment?
maybe cheaper for you guys then refunding something thats been used for a month or 2

I would rather do it this way to be honest .. then its over and done with and whoever buys the phone knows exactly what they are getting.
We may all be out of pocket by about £20 max but at least Tom isn't stuck with the problem on his own unlike when Topscooby sold me the 8800 and then just walked away leaving me to sort it out.

ok I had a close shave with this one.
I was on the verge of buying this from WelshTom. Then he sent through the photos and it had a few too many scratches for me. So I didn't go through.
Then my friend ZootZoot asked me if I wanted an Lg Shine and it turned out it was same one WelshTom had a week earlier so didn't agree a sale either as I needed a mint one.
Anyway, my point was not to rub salt in the wounds of those who did get involved in the chain ..as I have been stuck with a barred phone a few times in the past especially with ebay sales and non-responsible sellers and it really sucks....but was to maybe make the situation easier and ask...how much would you think you can pass the LG Shine on for?
as I may be able to make arrangements to dispose of it
