k800i update failed |

hello, how are you all doing!
i have been long time reader of this forum, i think community of this forum is very helpful... i have a problem with my k800i which does not allow me to do anything but recieve/make phone calls i.e. can not change themes etc. i tried to update SEUS but it stucks at 94%. wotan client was downloaded because i read that EROM should be updated which is a free service in the wotan client. it does not tell me what EROM i am running, but gives me the error saying my EROM is way too old but does not let me update it. i tried both holding C and 2&5 which connected with USB cable. i am running the latest wotan client which is 1.0 but i read that free EROM update is only available in Client 0.90 etc, is that true, if yes, that how it is possible. could some1 guide me to proper solution because i need to fix the phone ASAP as i am going on holidays and i need to use this phone as camera. i am in UK and phone is on 3G.

Read WotanServer Getting Started Guide carefully. It's all there. Post your firmware info here, please, including the EROM version. |

i have read the Getting Started Guide and followed everthing step by step without any joy! i am still having the same problems...
here is the current EROM R3A011 and FC ID: 20 19 (DB2020, i dont know what that means).
could some1 please help me to sort out the problem ASAP, thanks very much.

Did you have at least 1 valid credit at Wotan? That may be the problem. Upgrading EROM is free, meaning that Wotan won't deduct your credit, but still you must have 1 valid credit. I upgraded my EROM in the past, and yes it was free, but I did buy a credit there. My credit kept in tact after the EROM upgrade. However, some people say that you do not need to buy any credit at all for this.
BTW, if Wotan can't help you, SE service centre hopefully can. Good luck. |
