k800i can't get 3g! |

I bought the K800i. I can't access the 3g network. I went to at&t before I bought the phone and upgraded to a 3g SIM card. Is there something I can do to the phone? I can't access any on-line videos on make a video call! PLEAS HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

first of all, have you downloaded the operator settings? you need those to enable surfing GPRS through 3G. |

ice2524, have u tried 2 activate 3G from the menu (Menu - Settings - Connectivity - Mobile Networks - GSM/3G Networks - GSM and 3G)? If not, please do it and after restart your fone. Near the network strenght should appear a blue square - that`s the sign for 3G.
My K800 were allready switched so. No settings needed from operator.

I do have 3g in my area. I had a Razrv3xx and loved the 3g, but wanted the features offered by the k800i. What are operator settings? how do I do that? |

just contact AT&T and ask them to send you the 3G settings profile for your phone. you do need it to be able to access online content. |

Isn't it so, that the US networks use other frequencies for 3G, which the K800 doesn't have ?
Afaik, it's not officially released in the US, so there is no US version, the K790 (with EDGE instead of 3G) is for the US.
