Serious Doubts about my n95. If your actually gonna make use of it, Dont Buy It. Period! |

As the title states my n95 is giving me doubts.
The battery life takes terrible to a new level.
Every couple of hours of use I find it charging. Its starting to irritate me. Also another thing which is p***ing me of is that for some r***rded reason the phone finds it dosnt want to work any more and it switches its self of!
The battery can be charged. Im happily running an app, Im sending an SMS, BANG turns of. I even checked the powerbutton to see if there was any small object, encrusted on top which put pressure on the button. But no clean as a whistle.
These are serious faults. Im greatly missing my k810. It looks like its gonna be my first nokia in 5 years and my last! Sorry, but the phone is a joke!
If your actualy going to use the phone as a phone instead of showing off the highest end phone on the market dont. I think the phone could of been a portable entertainment system which I was beggining use it as but because of these faults! Sorry I cant
Sorry but the SE fanboys are right with this one. The n95 is sh*t when you actualy want to use it as a phone!
To be honest, manufactuers should focus on making a phone that actualy works well then add on all the other gimmicks.
Hopefully the new SE phones will replace the handset of hell, being my n95! |

make sure you actually close the apps when you finish with them, its a smartphone, treat it like a pc. Exit all apps properly, so you dont suffer memory leaks, you wil find the phone wont turn off

Thats exactly what I do. After I use an app I always exit to the menu. I never leave nothing on. Every thing is closed. Its just acting sh*t plain and simple! |

take it back mate, somethings not right there, had mine 3 months and ive had about 4 reboots and they were usually after a firmware upgrade. and my batt lasts 1-2 days even using it regulary.

make sure u click options n then exit. dont just press the hang up button to go back to main scree. If theres a little blue circle next to the icon in the main menu, means its still open and using your ram

Most properly working examples dont give trouble of that sort, dont condemn the barrel because you got stuck with the rotten apple.

mine hasn't switched off once(touch wood) and im running the latest unbranded FW, try this if you aren't already. And to conserve battery life turn to 2g only and leave BT and wi-fi off when not using them.
Hope this helps
Alex.

The slider is really solid and so is the construction of the phone. There is no squeeking or anything when squeezed. I head about the slider being loose. Its fine on mine. Its just the software.
In my mind. Nokia tried to put everything in one thing and ended up F'ing up the device |

Thanks for that A L 3 X. But the wi fi is never on, only when Im in a cafe and I may wanna browse the web for 5 mins which is very rare.
Then again the battery is proberly dead by then! |

As batesie and others have said either return to where you bought it or take it your friendly Nokia Service centre because i have suffered none of the problems you have described in all the time i have had mine. I listen to Music for approximately 3hrs a day. Surf the Web over WiFi and watch Videos or a film whilst in bed plus it is collecting e-mails from 2 accounts with automatic retrievals and one with manual retrieval.
I have had no sudden shutdowns and the only freeze i had was when i was using a iPhone theme that N95 seemed not to like. If you don't want to to return you do have two other options either do a reset which is
*#7370# Full Factory Reset which will erase everything on the phone or
*#7780# Restore Factory Settings which will leave your personal data intact.
There are also other factors that could be causing your problems such as where you have installed your programs and themes and also just what you have installed on your device.
But think about it logically if the rest of us that are using the N95 where having the same experience as you do you think we would all be saying how much we like the device? and still using it?
If the above actions don't solve the problems you are having just return it as obviously something is very wrong with it.
Marc

there are always bad apples amongst good ones, if you got the bad one it doesn't mean suddenly nokia is a joke. not only are you misguiding people who probably want the phone, you're also dissing a company whose 1 phone you've used in 5 years. Great job!
