And its a very very very good phone indeed!!!
Was amazed after installing taskman that it has 40-50mb of free ram and thats with the music player constantly open!!!
Upto now not done much with it jus messed around but its much much quicker than the previous N-Series phones i've used (N93, N73 and N80). And even quicker than my E61i!!!!
Plus it looks the dogs nuts!
Any other peeps with one of these? Any views? |

Extremely tempted by this phone, but its still a little too expensive. Whats the build quality like? How about a review?

well i am still holdin judgement as the use of the phone dictates what happens to it....
upto now i've had no probs with it slowing down or freezing (might b the vodafone firmware! making it run ok for once!) and the paint has stayed on mine upto now lol...
will do a little review later on at home for everyone! |

I really like this phone and will probably get it in a few months time.
Is it possible to unlock and unbrand it? |

voda_jon hits the list of wolrd's dommest people.
appart from it being another nokia with its many problems you bought a phone that was designed totally wrong.
many reveviews have shown that you can't open it like you should when the headset is connected. i mean come on people here give so much comment on SE, and then they buy something like that.

Cant really call him one of the dommest people, at the end of the day its the persons individual choice of handset. if he is happy with his handset then let him be happy. No point calling him dumb or dom just because he has a nokia phone. This is no place for Nokia bashing or S.E bashing or the other manufacture bashing, just because you don't like that particular handset.

dommest people??? is this a good thing? i mean i wouldnt want to be on the dumbest list but dommest???
Lets re-cap what i use this phone for...
*Calling people,
*Texting people,
*playing the odd little game when i'm bored,
*listening to music through loudspeaker when in the garden (note, not using headphones)
So going by what i use the phone for i can come to the conclusion that the issue of not being able to open the phone fully whilst having headphones in not to be a problem for me as i dont use headphones.
Plus remember this phone has a nice screen on the outside that can be used to answer calls on and buttons to use the music player so no need to have it open whilst listening to music or a call.
Before i bought the phone i viewed some reviews from different sites, some fanboy sites, some tech sites and some random sites to get a good mix of reviews and decided to get the phone as it suited myself fine.
I just love the fact that people seem to think that if certain sites or certain people say a phone is crap or does something someone doesnt want it to do then no one should buy the phone at all!!!
I seem to remember a lot of people buying K750i's even though they knew the issue with the joystick, same goes for N95 users who knew the GPS wasnt THAT good or that the battery didnt last too long or that the slide becomes loose... They bought them handsets coz the features suited them more...
If that puts me on the dommest list (again i dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing!) then so be it along with eveyone other domm person...

And here r some pics of said phone.... Enjoy coz i sure am!
(marks are dust off floor not scratches!)
(keypad has a much better feeling to it than the Moto Razr!)
(screen is a v.good size and shows off pics v.well indeed!)
(and the outside screen aint too bad either!)
(and its nice and slim too!)
Overall i am really impressed with this phone!!! And no probs freezin or crashin yet! |

@voda_jon, was thinking of getting the N76 as well, and have been aware of the fact that we can't open the phone with the headset plugged in. Now, as far as I know, the N76 does not have A2DP, which could have been a nice solution. Is it true that it doesn't have A2DP? Just need a confirmation. Another thing, how's the battery life? Having used the 3230 with its terrible battery life previously, and the K750 with its excellent one now, I really can't bear the thought of living with anything that needs a charge at the end of every day. Thanks mate!

Hey Jon, according to A.A.S.it has been has reported that a reliable source has stated that Vodafone has decided to drop the n76 due to the high number of customers returning handsets:
http://www.allaboutsymbian.co[....]fone_withdraw_N76_due_to_r.php , can you comment on this as i genuinely am thinking of getting the n76 but would like to know if the story has any weight to it
