I have heard that the HTC Touch is now in some Orange shops in the UK. Can anyone verify this? Better still, it would be great to hear anyone who has got one - looks like a great piece of kit.

i saw something on cebit, and it showed that you have to your the stylus to text people, you cant do it properly by just touching the screen with your fingers, which can be annoying using the stylus each time to select a letter.

OK - took it upon myself to do the leg work.
My local Orange store actually has it!
...although still not up on the Orange web site.
It looks fantastic.
However, it is ultimately flawed...most functions do not work without the stylus, the finger touch operates the top layer of functions, but drill down to anything more complex (and I include texting, email etc...) and you do need to get the stylus out.
Still, its got me thinking... a definite maybe!

can you write a text message or email thru handwriting recognition? or just thru the on-screen keyboard? this is the only thing that i need to know as of the moment. i always wanted to buy an htc touch. i was supposed to buy one last month but don't want to venture into a pricey mistake so i have to read more reviews..
no matter how wicked it is, i wont use a phone unless it's a sony ericsson!
