Will there ever be a true upgrade for the w810? |

I have a w810 and I love it, but it's time for something new. I want to stay with a walkman phone b/c I really like the walkman interface for my music, but none of SE's latest offerings seem worthy as an upgrade. All I want is basically a w810 with a lens cover, at least walkman v2, and A2DP. Is there any chance SE will create something like this. Right now the closest thing I think is the w610 but the camera is not as good and there's no cover. Does anyone else feel this way? |

A k550 flashed to W610 firmware perhaps?

isnt it better getting a w610 and voila?
imo, there isnt any real upgrade for the k750/w800/w810 yet.

I think the W880 is the next best upgrade interms of being a candybar walkman.

Far worse camera, no flash, no support for MXE-60 Flash, tinny crap audio, smaller screen and tiny unfriendly buttons? I think not...

No, there will not be any successors to W810.

Which I think is strange because the W810i is one of SE's biggest and longest sellers - it has an awful lot going for it.

What a shame SE should really make the true successor to w810- I`m sure that its heir would be a true bestseller.

You can look at it this way and compare it with the K800 situation. Both K800 and W800 had some missing features, and fixed the biggest of these in the 'small' updates - K810 and W810. These are only updates / small upgrades, if you will, and therefore won't have any successors. K850 is the real successor of K800, and if I'm not mistaking there aren't any successors to W800 - perhaps W610, but highly doubt it.

k750/w800/w810 are hybrid phones = nice camera resolution, flash, average connectivity, customizable, etc.
the others are just nice camera but no flash led and so on

will not really because the k550i has lens cover and looks nicer than the w610 imo so coxy's idea is best of both worlds

Same scenario as the W900... great phone, no successor since. Annoying! |
