Is there any way to increase gprs speed on cell phone? I m using n91 and opeara mini failed to install on it.

Do you have edge at your place. There is no other way to increase the speed of gprs.(unless a 3G)

yeah there r some 3G service but all i heard abt them as of crap services.

It can also be slow if u have limited memory, bu I doubt that for the phone u are using. Check mem.

That is too much memory. Did u check the speed at whch data is transfared? Set it to the highest

well...its on Automatic.Besides from last week i cant install my old java games on it nor other soft ware designed for n91. Though i tried nokia life blog from nokia site n it installed successfully but dono wats prob wid other software even it failed to install opera mini for n91 model. Sometimes mobiles behave really weird . *throws her phone away* :@

35kb/s n download speed is 4kb:(

thats not REALLY bad at all. i also hav gprs (minus edge). i also get the same speed at the max.

35kb is enough speed? Oh come on according to ufone service its gprs normal speed is 47kb/s. And at max 57kb/s.

Ok then-The speed depends on the network, how busy it is at the time when you download. Have you tried it in morning hours??
Also it depends on the operator to operator. Btw any of your friend get the speed of 57kbps??

Yeah its speed up at late night hours n in morning.U pointed right might be its because of users. About my friends all stupid use another service. But i myself has used it on my laptop with saying 115kb/s but in reality i guess it was not more then 15kb/s.it took 15mins in open google search page. Its annoying.

The speeds you are telling are in KiloBITES per second (Kbps), while the Pc uses kiloBYTES (KBps)as the storage unit, to convert, divide Kbps with 8, so 47Kbps = 5.8KBps

I think u can't get more than 20 kbps in mobile gprs, i usually got around 7 to 15 kbps and i think there is no other way to increase it further, i don't know wheither 3g or edge help me because both are unavailable to my phone, however i got the class 10 gprs (around 40 to 48 kbps),
