Airtel and EDGE in Tamilnadu |

I recently bought a K550i and i've noticed that the data network seems to be EDGE enabled... (there is an e at the top left corner). This was in chennai (I was on airtel live).
I'm back in Trichy now (college  ) and I noticed something interesting - when on airtel live the data indicator shows a 'g' but when mobile office is activated it shows and 'e'...
Does this mean Airtel has EDGE in TN? Is it available for all services in chennai and only for MO in trichy? |

No operator can provide EDGE each and every corner of a state. It may depend on locality or city. |

Thats true... I just want to know if Airtel has an Edge network for real and find out how extensive it is across TN... |
