Successor of K610? |

I really like and admire the capability of K850i:
GSM 850
GSM 900
GSM 1800
GSM 1900
(+ EDGE)
UMTS 850
UMTS 1900
UMTS 2100
(+HSDPA)
Superb!
BUT K850i is a bit heavy and soooo unfriendly glossy!
What do you think, will SE make a successor of K610i? Maybe with the same network capabilities like K850i has, but just smaller phone with a classic look like K610i (and without radio, cyber shot stuff etc).

The replacement for K610i is in fact K530i. |

The K610 hasn't got a successor yet, although feel free to pick up a W660 or T650 or heck a K810 if you want higher specs anything else and you'll have to wait for the k630.
I don't want a signature anymore. |

@Prudent is right. The successor of the K610 is the K530.
It's not a huge leap, but it is sorta like the K750/K550.

Thanks for the replies!
As I said I like the look of K610i. But at the moment I prefer K850i, because of its superb capability to work in 7 different frequencies/systems: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 850/1900/2100 (+ EDGE and HSDPA). As I know it's the only such kind of phone in the world!
I still hope that SE will introduce (maybe next March) light and classic-look phone like K610i with the network capabilities like K850i.
The main negative sides of K850i in my opinion:
* too heavy - 118 g (80-90 g would be fine)
* too glossy (imagine fingerprints all over it!)
* a bit strange keyboard
However, I am getting used to the idea that K850i will be my next phone.

I don`t think that k530 is the real successor to k610, neither is k618. This phones are just redesigned, they don`t bring anything new. That`s not a definition for a successor. IMO, the real successor is t650. It`s thinner, with better camera, better screen==> everything what k610 owners wished in their phones.

No, I'd still think the K530 is the real successor.
+ FM radio
+ Track ID
+ 3mm thinner
+ Larger Screen
The T650 is much to expensive to be a successor to the K610. It's a new premium phone.

I thought so, K530 is the real successor to K610 features wise. But why the numbering is below K610?
Apple iPhone 4, HTC Evo 3D, HTC Sensation, HTC Inspire 4G, HTC Desire S, HTC Wildfire, S001, SO905iCS, T650 (Gold & Green), C901, W800, K660, K700, Beibei (G702), Severine (DEAD) |

@Rifqi_Aziz
Perhaps there's a proper successor out there.
For example, the K550 is sort of a successor to the K750, but the K750 was succeeded by the K800.
And maybe, SE wanted to make the K530 more of a budget phone, so a lower numbering was needed - so that the W660 could take over the position that the K610 left, which is a somewhat high quality low-mid range phone.

@Jojo
But the K618 was only a redesign of the K610. Nothing changed in specifications.
Just like the K600/K608.
