Hullo!
Does anyone know where I can find new .EMS animations to send via SMS ??? (2 insert item>5 My Animation)
Or perhaps there is an easy way to create new ones?
Cheers

That "my anim" menu item is a figment of your (& everyone else with a t68i) imagination.........However.... it DOES exist in " Erycto sonyetus" ( A parrallel universe in which all ericsson software items behave logically & the p800 has been available free for 6 mnths). |

Press the option key while writing an SMS and choose input element(translated from Norwegian, might be a bit off) there you will find my animations.
How you add to it however, I have no idea.

There is a way to transfer own animations to your T68i's:
Edit them on your pc. Transfer by cable or IR to your Siemens Me45 (or other EMS compatible Siemens) and then SMS that animation to your T68 and voila: you can save that anim to your "My Animations" folder..
The funny thing is, the T68 can fully handle any animation sent by SMS, only the direct transfer by PC does not work. My rough guess is, that Sony Ericsson just forgot to add the .EBM file extension to the T68's file system, so it won't accept any such files sent by IR/Cable/BT :sigh:

Yeai think your right i reckon they just did`nt finish that little job, but when you think about it, they could have saved a lot of face by removing that tell tale "my anim" menu opion at the first upgrade.anyway most people are too impressed with all the other stuff to be that worried about that little detail....me included. |

I guess the best thing you can do is to ignore that particular menu option! :-o

Excellent - thanks everyone for all the info.
It's good to know that my little t68i isn't perfect after all.

The "My animations" option in your menu is supposed to handle downloaded EMS animations via SMS.
That's what Ericsson suggests in it's White Paper regarding EMS and animations.
Although it would be nice if you can download animations from your PC, but Ericsson never intended for that to be commonplace.
