Specs wise the phone is brilliant. Its got a 2.8'' QVGA 16m screen which is better than in N95. I have never heard anyone ever talk about or own this phone. No review, no nothing!
Why is that? Something wrong with it?

Been and gone.

There's been alot of N-series devices that don't break into certain markets for various reasons.

The N90, N93, N93i, N92 and N71 are a few to name. They barely made an impact, and some weren't sold at all in the UK. The big networks didn't take them on, and only Carphone and P4U took a few on occasionally.

I think the handset is overpriced in some countries. People will go for N93 or N95 instead of the unpopular N92. Not each region has DVB-H network.

Well N92 came a lot earlier than N93 and N95, so i dont think the popularity of N95 has anything to do with N92.
N92 was one of the very first N series phone

Hi all,

Really i think the problem with the N92 is it was to far ahead of it's time what it was offering just didn't have the right support in the market place. It was a good concept but the lack of TV to watch on it made it pointless and also from what i remember it was very expensive. But Nokia do seem to like to test out new concepts and learn what users want to use which eventually filters down through the range and brings new things to us and that in MO is a good thing.

The other thing you have to bear in mind is, will it sell?

Nokia first have to wow over the networks and/or the independant shops (carphone, P4U etc) and convince them it will sell well, and then market it to back it up. Clearly noone was interested, possibly because they breifly tested the waters with the N90 and didn't like what they saw, sales wise (was a major flop in most of the UK).

we only got some protos at here in philippines. too bad since many people got inloved with it's "notebook mode" especially that most of the Filipinos(excluding me) were hard-core nokia users/fans.
