This here "Ascent Ti" just passed through the FCC, taking the Ascent formula and updating key specs to bring the luxury phone well into 2007. Namely, the Ascent Ti offers UMTS 2100, a 3 megapixel autofocus camera with flash, and what appears to be a well-updated, Vertu customized build of Series 40. No word on release date yet.

i had a ascent and i sold it because it was too basic and now you do this..

Dont like it, they have taken a simplistic design and complicated. Im sure the camera wont be that great, the screen doesnt look the size to match it. Im sure most people who own a Vertu appreciate its simplicity purely for the build and for calls/texts....simple as....

Oh no thats terrible, thats lots it aura...what a shame they going down that route. The camera just does not do it justice.

the amount of them I saw in AD was unbelievable!! I've never ever seen one over here!!
as for the styling.. it's an ascent mixed with the constellation...
I want one!!

The back panel is very steampunk i would give it 10/10 but the front looks cheap and with no style at all, such a pity! It could be the most exiting design ever, but not this time. can some one tell me why does new vertu have so much Samsung inside?

Primarily because Saumsung are one of the biigest provider of Silicon chips...
You think they are a big name because of their own phones?
There are plenty of manufacturers that have other makers products inside....
Bang & Olufsen TV = Philips Tubes....

well not anymore now it is Bang & Olufsen TV = Samsung pixels, matrix and so on, even new B&O mp3 player - Beo Sound 6 (wasn't anounced yet) is redesigned Samsung...
But it doesn't mean that in Vertu sould also be Samsung used, i would like to see at least japanese manufacturers.
