Hi, i recently got a new contract and after getting rid of my Nokia 8310 which has served me well over 12mths i plumped for the obvious choice, a T68m (same as i im told) on Vodafone.

Now i was expecting it too come in the standard new white Sonyericsson casing, but its actually in the Luna Grey colour (original T68 Colour) and the model number at the bottom of the phone just says T68 no mention of an M or I.

The phone does have MMS, and it does seem to have the updated games version (battleships etc), but im really not sure if their trying to fob me off with a normal updated T68.

Any advice?

Regards Jim

What you have is a T68m with upgraded software. If it was the I you intended to purchase, then take it back. But other the the look, they both work exactly the same. [addsig]

not really the same. i have 2 t68 here and both had upgrade to t68i R5D007. but i found out that one of the t68 have only 14 voice dialling memory. the other one got 50 voice dialling memory.

it's kind of weird that both are the same t68 upgraded to t68i but they have different in voice dialling memory.

anyway.... i gave the less memory to my gf and i use the one with more memory. she's so damn happy with her phone now. she's amaze that t68 can do compare with his last few model nokia.

if you're buying a data cable just for transfering logos and ringtones to your t68, forget it. You can get them on air There's a lot of WAP sites you can download it from. Search this site for those sites.
Enjoy your new phone!

Thanks very much lads, came across my first screen freeze yesterday, had to take the battery out to restart the bloody thing. I thought that was only subject too Nokia phones hehe.

Well id like a cable to back my phonebook up and a few other things ideally, i saw one for £8.99 which seems a fair price (obviously not an official product mind).

Is there any software like Nokia suite available for this fine phone?

wheeeeeeeeeeee ehehehehe

You can search eBay for a T68 data cable, but the price you have seen isn't too bad.

You can use the cable to download ringtones and images (scrrnsavers and background) as well as sync. and backup your data. Got to the SonyEricsson website or search Esato for references to free software to do all of this.
