Abuse of religion, and fighting over religion should be banned.

don't try and get smart maggflodd...

there is a BIG line between religion and politics, It just appears that some people like to smudge that line at little.

EDIT: YES or NO maggflodd?

right, lets start by banning peterkay for his sig! maggflodd for asking about music by nusrat fateh ali khan!

how, oh great censor from the heavens aka fatreg, how do you propose to enforce it then? you can't even define "talk of religion"... "talk of religion"???

and please link me to google earth so I can see that "clear line between politics and religion"!!!! are you on drugs?

can we next ban threads about half-naked c-list actresses? sexism - overt and sneaky? cars - they kill thousands!

whose spiritual well-being are you so concerned about?
aren't you the king of chat?
some people enjoy some more substance in their chat even if it can get heated!

I didn't think I'd ever say this, but: this deserves to be locked - pending some clear explaining by fatreg, it's nonsense...either ignorant or intolerant...possibly both!

oh, here: NO NO NO

how about a happy medium a separate section called religion and politic and thats the only place we can talk about it all other threads not in there are out of bounds.
that way if you enter that section you know what its about and what the topics are about and people can chose to participe or not
unlike the current situation where threads are getting hi jacked and changed

actually, religious and political discussion has not been allowed here for some time but now and again a topic comes up and I like to see if the forum has matured enough to deal with it.

dissapointingly it seems not and so these topics continue to be locked, or more often, removed (which is why you don't see many of them!) so please take it elsewhere

as a reference, here are a couple of previous threads on this topic and this can now be locked as the decision is unchanged
