These kinds of votes often attract hundreds of thousands of votes in just a few days, and with all the hype of the launch tomorrow, this deserves its own thread:
BBC VOTE - Does the iPhone justify the hype?
Yes - 27.24%
No - 72.76%
Vote only just opened but.... looks like most people so far can see through the hype and look at the facts! maybe were not as easy to brainwash as the americans???

Remember, that not one of these votes is by anybody who has ever actually seen, touched or used one.
How can you un-biasedly judge the iPhone without actually seeing or using one? |

I usually prefer to reserve judgment until I've actually used a new device but I think on this occasion, it's as plain as the nose on your face that the amount of hype surrounding the iphone is just totally ridiculous!
Even if it had a telepathic interface, 400Gb memory and holographic movie playback it wouldn't deserve this amount of hype! But then again, marketing hype is one of Apple's specialties I guess. That's not a dig at Apple, by the way, it's just the truth!
