Lock down to 3G? |

Hey guys!
I have a W880 and the area I live in has patchy 3G reception, so the phone constantly switches between 3G and 2G, lowering battery life. I use 3G quite a lot so do not want to lock it down to GSM. Is there any way i can make it stay on 3G? An application or something? As it has no UMTS only option under the network setting like my samsung did. |

UMTS is great, but its GSM is still the default 1 in most areas

i dont think you can but even if you did then because you dont get UMTS coverage everywhere your phone would lose all signal when there was no UMTS

I had to debrand my w950i to use this option. Once i did the option appeared. |

hes talking about only having 3g whereas i think your talking baout only using 2g/GSM
