Hi

I recently had my old K800i stolen but thanks to insurance I got a new one the next week. It works fine other than one problem with the syncing.

Originally, when I connected the phone to my PC via a bluetooth serial connection the PC Suite Sync Manager would pick it up and ask me if I wanted to sync. I am able to connect the new phone on a bluetooth serial connection (on COM 40). The problem is that the sync manager does not pick up the phone.

The real complicated bit is this:
When I go to "Phone Monitor Options" (to try and enable COM 40) in the CONTROL PANEL almost every port is listed including COM 40. However, when I enable it it does not fix the problem.

When I go to "Phone Monitor Options" in "Tools" in the SYNC MANAGER only COM 3 is listed. Annoyingly enough, COM 3 is already being used by 'HDAUDIO SoftV92 Data Fax Modem'.

I don't understand why the two "Phone Monitor Options" menus differ. I also don't understand why the problem would arise only with the new phone.

Thanks for your help

Josh
