K790a or K550i? (Or E50) |

I want to replace my W810 with a "while waiting for the K850i" phone. I decided to forgive of the W810's foibles and give them one more chance, especially now that they really are supporting the US market more
As phones have proven useless to me, and 850 MHz is a must, my only two choices are the K790a and K550i. The former has the better display, camera, and keypad, but it's IMO large, old, and expensive (still $350 in the US, since no major carrier picked it up). The latter is newer, compact, and much cheaper, not to mention quad-band (K790a is tri-band). But the display and camera are hardly an upgrade from my W810, and the keypad just plain sucks.
I'm also considering the Nokia E50, since its reasonably thin, inexpensive (almost as cheap as a K550i!), has QVGA resolution, and can do a lot thanks to its Symbian OS. But I'm on the fence about needing a true "smartphone," and I don't think I can live with the 1.3MP fixed-focus camera.
I'd love an S500, but it's not yet for sale, and its fixed-focus camera is a turn-off.
Recommendations? Please, don't recommend me anything lacking the 850 MHz band - it's critical on my carrier (AT&T a.k.a. Cingular a.k.a. AT&T). Thanks.

E50, if the camera isn't important.
BTW you should really get a phone, this is like the 5th thread you've made

I know, I'm really indecisive about my next phone But I'm sure to choose among the three posted here. So forget my other threads
I never though the camera was important until recently - it's become too handy where I need good pics, but not so good that I need to drag along my 7.1MP Canon Powershot G6.

look up some sample shots taken from E50 and see if you're satisfied. |

buddy, i advise you to get a brown K800.
it's a chick magnet, and very classy.
E50 is ok. but lacklustre when it comes to camera shots |

@KingBooker5: Good point, but with few exceptions (e.g. T616), phones aren't as timeless as music!

As an owner of both the K790i and K550i, I can say from experience that I prefer the smaller K550i. I also prefer it's keys and had less errors typing text messages. Plus it's quad-band. And the K550i can be flashed to W550 status via DaVinci Team if you so choose.
