Right.
this gets my back up no end and as a result I've seen one member walk away today who I regarded as a top quality poster and his knowledge about mobiles is even more than I know...
Can we please loose the hatred for other makes of phone please?
I know this is predominately a  site, but it invariably attracts all types of users from all over the world, and as a result not everyone lives, breathes and sleeps or Nokia or Moto or Sagem or Samsung or HTC or Siemens or VK or Sharp or Mitsubishi or Sony or any other manufacturer I've forgotten about.
Just recently I've seen lots of flames wars etc etc.. You're a Nokia fan boy. No, you're a fan boy.. Can it please stop? We are all of a certain age here and as a result we should able to understand that not everyone in the whole world possess the same view that maybe you do. Can we all also be perfectly clear that people are and will always be entitled to their own views and thoughts? and being a discussion forum that this is, you are unfortunately going to meet people that do not have the same love for a certain make as you do, can we please respect the views held by these people and not name call/abuse/torment said members.
As I said above, this is a discussion forum, therefore feel free to discuss things but challenging others views and opinions is not what we are here for.
I for one am getting seriously hacked off with the whole thing and as a result am considering also walking away.
a little decorum people..

PS... those of you that know me know that I am not a fan boy of any manufacturer, and for those of you that don't know me I have owned all manner of phones, and as a result do not prefer any manufacturer over another.

Can I add to this... This normally starts from people doing the VS thread especially on UNRELEASED PHONES. I have seen iPhone vs God knows what and I always wonder how the hell do you judge something that has not even been released? Surprises me man.
Oh well I have to say gone are they days when we had intellectual chats and tweaks and all this that was found.

yeah, unreleased phones didn't figure in my mind but as the old adage goes "Don't knock it, til' you've tried it"

I've been thinking exactly the same thing myself. You know what? I own an SE, I own a Nokia and I own a Blackberry. I own a PC and a Mac, I own a Playstation and an XBox.
Yes, I'm privileged but I'm not bragging here, that's not the point. The point is that EVERY device, regardless of it's manufacturer, has it's pro's and con's and it's EXACTLY these pro's and con's that people should be discussing in a sensible and adult manner. That's what forums are all about.
There's plenty of fun threads on here to have a laugh and a bit of good natured jibing in, in fact you'll find most of my posts in such threads. But when serious threads get locked because certain people can't behave properly, then something needs doing.

No irony! The last 6-8 weeks this forum has become quity vicious - I admit that I don't always check my own humour; that I like to provoke occasionally (you know that, I guess  )to probe for "points" not obvious to me... Blah di dah, but until recently I thought - yeah, I'd help anyone here in a flash...thread or pm, if I can, I will!
But now it's like one of thos 70's movies in which half the town gets nuts from the poisoned water, the other half gets eaten by piranhas...

@qvga - it'd be funnier if just now, for the first time a thread had turned "nasty", but this has been going on for weeks and weeks - and I enjoy a naughty argument...but constantly the same b*tching??????????????????????? People have tuned out, and literally a minute before I spotted this thread I pm'd someone asking about other forums... No one would miss one maggflodd, but obviously I'm not alone! (heck, for fatreg and me to agree... things have to be bad!!! )

I am fed up of seeing this Vs that, at the end of the day there are good and bad points about everything and it is up to the individual to decide what they want and need to suit them.
I know i go on about pc's being crap etc etc but it is all in jest, a mac is better for my use whereas a pc may be better for someone else.
I think these types of posts should just be deleted if they come up. Half of them are like comparing an apple to an orange, yeah there both fruit but completely different.
