NO, I meant, an older w910 (weeks )...the w890 is not here to be bought.I liked the idea--was going to wait for a w890--, but I finally chose to try again with a slider (silly me) and bigger screen for gaming.
Shhh...I do not know anymore. I do hope this one is ok,but I 've got the feeling Spain is still full of stock (older units I mean).
I can cope with slow menus, but not with a loose slider..it gets on mynerves especially after having paid 400 euros for a SE winner phone unbranded and new

Yes I know, I was just offering it as a suggestion. I'd expect a good working phone for that price too, so good luck with it. And let us know how it goes!

Well,
I have just been to the shop.
They had another w910 for me, they said all the others they had received were already loose so they kept this "tighter one" for me. It actually had problems to slide to the maximum. I asked to see the "w+number" behind the battery.
w0745
Sadly,I decided to ask for a refund. They accepted and when I asked about the w890 they had no idea when it would reach Spain. I then asked about the Europena guarantee. They think it is ok to buy one abroad in Europe and take it to a SAT here in case of need, together with the purchase proof(bill).
Now I am sure I do not want a slider ever again. Especially SE.
Pity, 'cause I always preferred them to candy bars .
I feel devastated.

Wow, how disappointing! I wonder why they are getting in such old stock! It sucks because the W910i is a great phone, which you're missing out on experiencing. Can you not go to a different shop?

I guess I could try, but I have been disappointed so often with this model that I think I would always be "checking" things out instead of enjoying it, you know.
And not everywhere they have it, it is difficult to find, and not every shop lets you check the numbers...I am going to visit my favourite Sony Gallery and see what they have.

p.s. does "post your photos taken with SE w910i" thread exists around here? i see those threads from other models, but no for w910i ...
thanks! |

Since i sent my w910i back for repair ive gone back to my w850i... And now i'm not sure that i want the w910i back. It feels nice to have a phone that doesn't feel like it will shatter into pieces if it falls a foot, a speaker that is loud and clear, oh and doesn't feel the need to turn off every 5 minutes. Also the w850i took the 8gb m2 (with adapter) flawless without a single delay between putting the card in and using the walkman.
The w910i is a stunning phone i just wish the se had put more behind the w910i.
Its always been that you got a w-series for music to die for, with camera's that sill worked the way they should (w810i), and the k-series for photo's to drool over with the minimal focus behind the music, with it still being listenable.
Now what was the highest end walkman had a terible camera that has got worse as the line developed, where as the latest cyber-shot phones have the "music player" witch to me may as well have walkman screaming at you, (since when have cyber-shots had "mega base" witch was one of the main things that set the walkman phones IMHO).
Rant over...
i just think that the balance the se has always had spot on, is failing.
is this just me, or are there others who also feel that this is the case? |
