Hi.

The HPM-10 mp3 player is on sale in Denmark. I've searched a bit in the forums, and read some reviews. I was wondering, what your experience with the player is. Is it the best thing that's ever happened to you in your life, or did you regret the buy?

Also, what does the display on the phone show you? I checked out the radio, but it doesn't seem to be using the phone display at all...what's up with that?

What does the mp3 player give you? A list of mp3's on the card? A VU-meter?

Thanks.

its a great piece of kit n very handy 2, the connection wasn't very gud but check out me topic on stronger connection, its helped me n some others. well on the screen
- when its playin u can c the name of the track n the continuing track time, when you plug it in, i
-it automatically selects the mp3 profile, ive put mine so that it asks yo if you want to play when its inserted
-so when you plug it in a post type thing pops up saying play now? n u just click yes n it plays, it also has a track select screen which is helpful,
- i cant tell you what happens when sum1 calls cus ive buggered mine by snipping the base of the headphone plug because i couldn't get it in, so the handsfree dunt work, but id advise you just puch in hard n twist it.
- so overall its a really gud item that comes in handy a lot of the time, most of its downers have been overcome i.e connection n tracks, i mean by that mp3 diet has helped a lot of people in getting more tracks sum upto 60 i personally have 18 which now need updating
hope that helps

Appelton, here you go:

Q1.:

Well as far as i've gone with fitting songs on my t68i, at 64kbits bitrate, and in stereo, i can fit 17 tracks (almost 80mins), you can do this using software called "RazorLame", it's free online @ http://www.dors.de/razorlame

Q2.:

Battery Time ? well my t68i lasts a day and a half of continuous use, but it's cut down a bit now, since i had my GPRS activated on T-mobile, so it'll last at least a day of continuos playing with everything in use on the phone.

I think the most song you will ever get on is about 20 with 64kbps. I had about 16 tracks on mine. I don;t use mine anymre as it uses a paralel port to tranfer MP3's to the MMC card.
Its on worth it if your going to get a USB MMC reader (this is especially true with Windows XP as its very hard to configure the existing reader, it needs new software and to change computer settings).

It is good if your going to be on a train or bus where the connection will not break. I walk to college and to work, each of these walks is about 30-40 minutes sometimes longer and the connection is always coming loose. Running is a definate NO.

You can't use the menu while its playing which is lame as if you want to SMS, MMS, use WAP or even just play a game you can't while listening to music.

On the T68 +T300 you can us the joystick to select track + change volume.

I would just opt for a Archos MP3 jukebox that will store hours of music with 6-20GB of memory or even a Sony NetMD which will let you change your MP3's to ATRAC3 and store 320 minutes music on one disc. It even has USB connection for fast download to player. I have learnt from phone accesories, that you should just opt for a stand alone devices.
