Why state something and then not back it up by saying why? Thats stupid if you ask me.

Well, well, only yesterday I've been wondering, whether a competition was going on here : who can start the most childish and useless thread ?
But to stay on-topic, the mods here are ok, imo.

... Yeah, what exactly is it that ticks you off? i've been censore etc etc etc, but, h*ck, it can't alway be easy to keep things in check here! i don't think "they" get a kick out of annoying members (besides maybe a short-term one )?! And often, I'm sure, there's other members tattling and so on... Sure, I'd like some changes (like a quick "why your thread/post has been deleted), but realistically...imagine the pm's flying to and fro!!! Hahahaaaa anyhoo - without knowing what drives you, I shan't go on! spill!!!

imo, not all the mods are working. masseur is the most active one and he makes a good work as moderator. he seems to be reasonable and he has criteria when he acts. they are human though.
@nick: what is the problem? have you been upset by a mod?

I think he might have had his account hacked, unless he's been possessed by alcohol.

actually I think they are very "moderate" here. We get away with a lot - enough to enjoy a good argument, but not enough to get out of hand. When abuse starts, we get a warning, then if it keeps up the thread gets closed. Pretty much it seems the main thing that is not tolerated is abuse (and that's a good thing).
They also intercept when a well used thread is getting hijacked by flamers or off-topics, and they bring it back into line without just killing the thread (which would be a disapointment for the people who genuinely like posting to the thread).
Occasionally a thread is closed, but always with good reason as far as I've seen.
I think part of the reason ESATO is one of the more popular forums is because the moderators are fair and reasonable. Discussion is not stiffled, but neither is it allowed to become the lawlessness of the wild west.

IMO Esato moderators do an excellent job.
This thread has no purpose that I can see and no facts supporting the claim. It's a credit to the moderators that they see no need to lock the thread and have simply moved it here to 'die a natural death'.

well, I've just arrived back in Sydney for the weekend and was a bit surprised to see this thread myself, but I'm keen to hear what problem the OP has before we close this up?
