I've just debranded my vodafone k800 through woton as it had the "application failed" message.

Everythings fine apart from when the 3G symbol lights up I can't dial out/send text messages/recieve calls, if I turn the 3G off all is well.

I'm hoping this is just a settings problem.

Can anyone help?

Cheers Si

The firstthing you need to test is another sim card.

If you can get your hands on another voda sim card and get a 3g signal but you are able to use everything then possible a sim card failure.

Other question, what was the application failed?

Did everything go ok using wotan? and what version of firmware did you use.

Tested it with another voda sim and its the same, no network on 3g.

Are there any settings which would need to be installed to connect a non-branded phone to the voda 3g network?

The application failed error was after I swapped memory stick with a mate on the o2 network, it disabled the applications and games folders, it ran like this for a few months with perfect signal until today when I updated the firmware to R1KG001 CID52 (Generic Trade UK)
