ok so my problem is when i connect the k310i to the computer with the cable the computer keeps telling me 'no device connected' but the phone id tellin me it is connected?
any help please? |

Change USB port and take out the phone battery for a while, and then insert it back. Try again. |

Restart the PC and download K310 driver from http://ma3.extranet.sonyericsson.com It's listed under Drivers section and try again the steps above. It may be your dirty fast port or loosen cable pins too. Try also on your Windows--Control Panel--Add new hardware. |

edit - how do i install the drivers? ive used winRAR to extract to the file now what...

Extract them to a folder. When you connect your K310, a pop up should show up asking for driver installation automatically. And point the search to the USB Signed Driver folder you have.

if it doesnt pop up when i connect my phone is there anyway to do it manually? |

cmon guys please help ive got no clue what to do now its not working and its really annoying me

hi there, u should also try installing pc suite, its better to shut down the phone before connecting although it only serves as a external storage device. try blowing or cleaning the connector pins on the phone and the usb connector too.
oh yeah, sometimes even after doing all the above instructions the device cant get accessed via my pc, so enter system properties(right click on my pc), then go to hardware then device manager, once there just choose from the menu the option "search for hardware changes" and that should do the trick. cheers. |
