Sounds to me like you are missing the point. Doesn't have T9, as it has handwriting recognition. If you don't want handwriting recognition, (or a virtual keyboard, which is another option) why bother with something like the P800?

I think it will have some sort of T9 function. I'm also using something like that on my palm, when you start a word with Jotter, there is a pop-up list with word's you can choose, it works very fast, i guess it'll be for the p800 as well...

You do not understand what I want to say: I KNOW P800 doesn't have T9!!! But P800 has a symbian installed. So I can install programs in it like the 7650, games, files ecc... The point is: Can I install a program like the T9 to write messages?????

I can use the handwriting, the virtual keyb, ok... But why not use virtual keyb with a T9 program installed????

I think it would be a great idea...

PS: I don't want to search a "P800 like" cell because I want the P800!!

Why use virtual keyboard with T9? That would be really stupid.

Hey, hey, hey!!!
Give the guy a break! He wants to know if a T9 program can be made or purchased!

@conte81

Some time ago, here at Esato, the question you are asking was raised and someone, I can't remember who, ment that Symbian With all it's potentials, would allow people to create a T9 application. So, I think there will be a T9 app made for the P800 when it has been released. It might not be made by or Symbian but maybe by one of the members of Esato(?)...
As for your other questions:
Download the user manual for the P800 here

when your using the P800 as a normal phone you can go up to 12-15 days! i think the P800 has some T9 functions and if there not good enough people will ask for T9 in a sw update so soon it will be availble so no problem then.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

Thanks Tranquil!!!! Finally a real answer!!!

Andrew99...let me see...do u think that there is so much difference between a real keyb and a virtual one??? I don't think so!! If REAL keyb with T9 are useful, why can't be useful a VIRTUAL keyb with T9???

Lor...I know..nokia is'n so "professional" but you must say that is very fast on writing sms...

Bye Bye...
