Voice mail characters (i.e Pause) not working in Speed Dial |

I have my company's voice mail numbers stored in my phonebook with the appropriate pauses and "#" signs to access my voice mail. This works fine when I dial using the contact list, but when I dial the same contact using the speed dial, it dials the number but not the login characters.
I wrote SonyEricsson, and they said "
We apologize for the inconvenience; unfortunately the pauses and codes do not carry over when you use the speed dial function."
Anybody figured a way around this?

Don't think there will be
All I can suggest is that you rename the contact so it's either the first or last in the phone book, at least then it's quickly accessable... |

What about setting the contact up for voice dialing?
If you can put ALL your codes etc in the number you don't need to press any more buttons... and you can play at being Captain Picard!
