T68i - Orange Network (UK) |

This is just a quick question, as I've heard conflicting views:
Do Orange (UK) disable the SMS delivery report menu (Status Request) in the T68i phone???
I've heard people saying that they do, although 'my' Orange T68i has the menu available! Did the older T68 phones have the menu disabled or something??
Also, why are some Orange T68i phones logo-free?? (Mine has no logo, and I like it! but my friend has a big orange square painted on his T68i) |

When i was in uk i had a t68i on orange aswell i could manage to get deliv reports either, try asking them to send you a sim update, the older t68i had the logo on them, the newer ones have been spared, unfortunatly the still have the built into the phone.

I use a o2 t68 which has delivery reports, but when i use my Orange sim in it (all the time) delivery reports are not available. same as other friends with t68 on Orange. But all you do is put RCT at the begining of your text & you get the report...For example RCT i`ll see you at 5pm etc...this does`nt come out in the message. |

Class tip, thanks. I hate the way orange shove their logo everywhere. It annoys me when i turn my phone on and off and I have this stupid orange logo just staring at me. The orignial SE startup is much more entertaining to watch!

I have a T68 upgraded to mms software on Orange and for some reason the delivery reports started working after a sim card update. So it can work! |

I didn't have the option but it suddenly became available when I had it upgraded to T68i. |

No i think it may only be Orange UK. But there are other codes for other networks EG, on o2 in UK *0# works in the same way (at beginning of message) i suggest maybe try these, as there must be a way on every network because your message keeps getting sent until a report is recieved thats on all digital handsets, switching on the delivery reports option simply allows you to be aware of itin other words EVERY PHONE gets delivery reports EVERY time you send a text. |

I do have delivery reports enabled (HW: R4A, SW: R2E006) but was wondering why some older t68i phones didn't. Must have been an oversight on Orange's part. |
