I have a Sony Ericsson K810i and I can't get Gmail to work properly with the inbuilt e-mail client. I can read and get new mail but not send any mails. I tried to install the three certificates via FileManager, and I put all the three certificates right on the K810i icon (to the roote i hope) but it didn't work. I just woundering where did all the three certificates go? My earlier phone V800 asked if i wanted to install the certificate when I placed it as i described earlier in the message.

my k810i (O2 UK) didn't require any certificates to get G-Mail
working. I can send and receive e-mails using the in built client.

What settings have you got ??

hhmmm .... my setup has pop.googlemail.com Not pop.gmail.com and
likewise for the outgoing (smtp) server address even though the
e-mail address is blah@gmail.com.
Also - definately set to SSL for both in and out ?

There's kinda guide on Gmail here (tho it didn't help me a lot - I still can't send mails):

But it DID help me... i've just installed the certificates from the site just like what flame2k did; i dragged it to the root using file manager and the phone asked me if i'd like to install it. Just tried Gmail and receiving email works perfectly. but sending email is kinda slow (I'm within 3G network).

I had a similar problem with gmail on my k800 before I installed the certificates. Now it works perfectly.
It should work to drop the certificate files directly on the phone icon, or, by using bluetooth, send them to the phone using the proper option in the file context menu. An alternative (haven't tested that) might be to put the cert files in the 'other' folder, and in the phone 'open' them.

I also have a problem getting Gmail working with the inbuilt client, I'm on T-Mobile (NL). I have installed the certificates and followed all the instructions (read the tread from front to back). What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the suggestion naji123, I'm currently using this application only I find the fact I cant send mail with attachments annoying. That's why I'm trying to get the build in client to work. Unfortunately nobody from the Netherlands seems to have any expertise on the matter (judging from the lack of response).
