Much has been written about the battery life of the N95 - it's true that it does not compare with a k800 fo instance but I have been able to get 17 hours out of it with 3G turned off and have no problem charging it every night.
BUT....
What I can't live with is the annoying beep the the phone gives off when it reaches full charge - Even when the phone is switched off!
When I travel I always use my phone as my alarm (one less thing to pack etc) but as well as my morning call I get woken up one or two hours after I turn in by this *$£@* pointless beep.
Ihave searched menues and there seems to be no way to turn it off so although I can live with the phones other drawbacks to have the big screen, GPS, good storeage, camera etc but it's back to my SE unless next firmware release kills the bleep.

from what i know, its just a little beep, i dont know how the heck do you get awaken by this and i am baffled that you're going back to SE after N95 because of this minute issue. Guess you just bought N95 for show-off and nothing else.

Turn your phone on silent you will never hear that beep but you will hear the alarm so no worries there.

You must be joking! Surely all the other things about this awesome phone outweigh this little niggle? Everyone to their own, I suppose.

Guess I'm a light sleeper - don't see why that makes me a show off QVGA.
Thanks themarques for a more usefull reply - I had not tried phone on silent as it's usually off overnight. If that kills the charging beep it's worth a press on the hash key before I shut down. I'll give it a go, cheers.

doug - the phone was free and as I much as I like features I prefer my sleep. I'm a bit suprised no one else bothered by the beep and even if that is the case, I was not expecting such hostile replies to a well intended post.

well each to their own i guess.... little things like these can annoy the best of us.... pete is just one of these people, give him a break. It obviously interrupts his sleeping pattern and for some people that can be very very annoying, i know it is for me..... and even if he is changing phones, why do you people care

@pete
tis a shame you cant keep it, n95 is a good phone from the 2 ive used, but very average build.....

@peter_freeman

Sorry you had to be referred to as having having more money than sense and a show off for asking a perfectly valid question.

I hope you had your problem solved anyway mate.

no, what i said made sense. if i can go back to SE after using N95, it means i dont really need the features of N95.

Thanks for your recent posts guys
@brnoblade - Excellent answer. My problem is solved - exactly the sort of help I was after. Thank you.
(I'm a bit embarrased - I didn not think to turn warnings off myself. I thought I had explored the phone pretty well but did not register this menu option)

OT: QVGA, I disagree; I'm going back to SE, and my N95's going up for sale(once Nokia service have actually repaired it under warranty).....notbecause I'm a show-off, or because I don't need it's features........but because, after listening to everyone on Esato about how amazingly great N95 was and shelling out over £300 for one(and bearing in mind they're supposed to be a £550 flagship product), I've seen better build quality in a Maxon......and that's simply inexcusable to me.....

Peter, I hope you found a way round the beep!
