Was using my phone most of Sunday and it was working fine, then all of a sudden it just started cracking and when I talk to someone its really terrible they cant hear it but I can..dreading to do a master reset but could this be hardware or some software.

I heard of a trick before that u could switch from loudspeaker back to normal and it fixed somethin tried this and no joy...dont really want to be sendin back another N95 nightmare man.

No way sounds like a h/w fault. Where did you get it from?

switch your phone off then back on again, if no joy then back up your phone memory onto your memory card if you want to do a hard reset but to be honest i don't think it will make a different.

My earpiece also crackles, started over the weekend. Unfortunately I too am out of my 14 day period. My local service centre told me the N95 was "too new" to be repaired. lol

edit: Found a solution. Look below.

Hard reset, master reset, flash to unbranded firmware.

Nothing helps. Gotta be hardware or this latest firmware. We won't know until a new one comes out.

Hi all!

I have a feeling this has to do with firmware. As I said before it started last weekend for me, when I put generic firmware on it. Last night I flashed it to O2 firmware (this one was originally an O2 handset) and it was fine. Then I flashed it to generic firmware and it is still fine!

I dont understand this "bug".
