OK, I have got my license for 30 days voice guide, but i cant get the lady to talk to me.
tried all the usual, voice on, volume up etc, my questions are;
1.does gprs have to be used for voice guidance?
2. if so, why?
3. I use my phone in the car with a Nokia 616 car kit, using sim access profile, this uses the car kit as a phone, own aerial etc and just the details from my sim, is this stopping me using voice guidance, or am i missing something.
Hope someone has an answer cause im banging my head here.

OK sorted it
It seems my car kit wont do gprs so couldnt connect to network to download voices the first time you use it.
Now at home downloaded voices via wlan, and can now get voice guidance, plus it works with no sim card in phone so, they cant charge you for using it if there is no sim in, i think.
Anyway I think i have answered all my own questions, but thanks for your help. |
