i think it'd be a big mistake getting a Prada over a N95. I think you're falling for its looks and how flashy it is. Its an 'all flash no substance' phone. Heck it doesnt even have an HTML browser! |

but that's me all over..
I've had a serene, 8800, sirocco, vertu... seems the prada is the next stage?

lol i expected that the oldies here were smarter.
The Nokia N95 and the LG Prada handsets were released around a month ago, with massive expectations for both. After a lull in hero-handset releases, the market was set for two winners to pick up sales in a slowing market.
But one month on and many retailers say they are disappointed with the handsets' performance. A senior operator retailer told Mobile: 'People have very high expectations of these devices – that can lead to returns.'
Several retailers commented that the Prada's fashion appeal was likely to be short-lived: 'When it was first released, everyone was buying it for two reasons. One, it's Prada. Two, it's touch-screen. I think people are realising it's a lot of money for a phone.'
Others have complained that customers find it difficult to access the keypad on the Prada handset when on a call, particularly when trying to use voicemail. 'When you use an auto pre-select service such as needing to press one, two or three as an option, as it is all touch-screen, the selections are not recognised,' one dealer said. However, LG's Steve Fraser said: 'There are no technical glitches with the Prada. People just don't seem to know there is a button to press to access the keypad.'
'The Prada has started to die down a bit, but the N95 is still going well,' a Phones 4u salesperson said. The N95 continues to attract interest, but customers have started complaining about software issues, battery life and the GPS system. One dealer who uses the handset said: 'It crashes a lot and the GPS takes ages to lock on. It turns off when I am using a Bluetooth headset.'
Despite complaints, both the handsets have been holding top positions on the Mobile Tracker chart. The N95 has been the bestselling handset for the past three weeks, while the Prada has been holding on to second place for the last two weeks.

do you really want to have another boring phone?

discussion of that story can be found here
personally I think the prada is for those who like the style, much like those that liked the 8800 I guess. I got bored of it in approx 5 minutes flat.

Knowing you and how long you keep phones, could you just get a N95 and then sell it when you get fed up and then get a prada, then you've had both.

this used to be a place for SE fans. now its become a place where SE is becomming the most hated brand.
the N95 sucks and has 0,0% design.
you want design get the prada, allthough i myself would rather go for a Z610. you should think about that one, it comes in pink 2.

Step 1: Get the phone that is worth the most that will cost you nothing
Step 2: Admire it, breifly
Step 3: ebay it and use the money to buy a phone of your complete choosing, and pocket the profit
Thats what I'm doing tommorrow with an LG Prada
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for. |

Dude, come on! I'm all for loving SE but this is taking this too far. You cannot seriously compare Z610 to Prada and N95, surely you must know that. |
